Hardwood Paroxysm's 2008-2009 Season Previews: The Chosen Ones

It's time now to bring you the teams selected by your Hardwood Paroxysm overlords as worthy of our special attention this season. The Chosen Ones.

These are not necessarily good teams. Some are, some aren't. Some are playoff locks, some are lottery locks. We're not really partial to winning here. We accept flaws. But we're built on potential, and we feel like these teams best represent that potential.

The Wolves are not a good team. I mean, for God's sake, Mike Miller was a big acquisition for them. But the Harbinger, Al Jefferson returns with another year of development after explosions of true greatness last season. Randy Foye is back to full strength. And Kevin Love's outlet pass...ah... true love.

It's not hard to see why we love the Heat. They have tree great players, two to three players that could be okay, and um... vomit marinated in vomit-juice with a vomit-sauce and vomit garnish. But oh, the three good players together...

Portland. I'm not even sure why I need to explain why we're obsessed with them, so we're going to move on.

People tell me Memphis will be the worst in the league. Today I will spend many, many words unsuccessfully trying to convince you otherwise, only for them to turn around and prove that they are the worst team in the league. But they'll be dangerous, damn it!

These are our Chosen Ones. And we can't wait for them to fail.
