When Ziller unleashed his Blog Atlas on the world, my first thought was, "Wow, that's awesome." My second thought was "He didn't include me. Screw that guy with a scorpion tail." Anyway, Trey and I got to talking and both of us thought it would be awesome to do an expanded one, just for the NBA blogosphere. One thing we noticed was how there were elements of some blogs in other blogs and how they combined. And the idea came to us. "The Periodic Table of NBA Blogs."
Thus, the above was born. Click on it to see it in its full glory, complete with a handy, dandy link legend. If you were excluded for any reason, it wasn't intentional, we assure you. This thing took months to put together, and if it was excluded it was either purely an accident, or you had a name that was too much of a pain in the ass to come up with a symbol for (incidentally, next person to start an NBA blog that starts with a B is gonna get this table crammed up their test tube).
They were arranged not by any sort of ranking, but grouped together in similar forms which are indicated by the color legend at the bottom. There were several that would have blended across groups, and maybe next year we'll reflect that.
We bring you this today to show you the diversity of our little corner of the web, and to illustrate the diversity of blogs that cover the Association we all love. With the new season almost upon us, we hope you'll use this to get acquainted with some blogs you haven't found before, and to remember some of us who are suffering without a team (*pours one out for SuperSonic Soul).
This is the NBA Internet, folks. Revel.
Special thanks to Trey for being the primary inspiration and my co-creator in this.

Why is it that Project Spurs isn't in there?
That's the beauty of a periodic table...new elements can be added at all times.
Not only am I number 44, but Ruthenium is actually my favorite element on the periodic table. Coincidence? I think not.
I bow before your awesomeness.
Very cool.
Nothing short of awesome.
In terms of media/beat reporter blogs, Doug Smith of the Toronto Star is one of the best - answers almost every email, shares insights and balances fact and opinion.

Pretty fucking sweet.
Proud to be an Absurdity! Awesome.
No Oklahoma City Representation, whuuuut?!?!?!?!?!?
JK, guys. Awesome table.
Great list! Once again HP impresses me with the amount of work yall do!
damn good work
InsideHoops.com has to be in there. InsideHoops is one of the top select few massive pro basketball websites out there.
I agree with Bombay. Doug Smith is amazing in terms of knowledge and reader rapport.
And One will strive to do better.
What was that you were saying about scorpion tails?
j/k... spectacular effort and idea.
Jeez. After suffering through and chronicling the highs and lows of the Isiah Thomas regime, hosting an NBA Blogger Mock Draft and figuring out why Eddy Curry couldn't play zone defense it stings to be left out of another iteration of hoops club. I'll be over in Obscurity, toiling if you need me.
Oh, and totally awesome chart. I really dig it. Seriously.
Really nice work but The Starting Five can't get any burn? Like some of the others here, we actually report from games.
Matt - appreciate the shout out - keep up the great work! And, no, I don't hate Halifax...
I'll have you know that I posted seven whole times this summer. What more does a guy hafta do to become elemental? Jeez.
Nice work.
Good Job! :)
