Let's Overreact!: Nuggets vs. Lakers

The best part about the playoffs is how after every single game, pundits completely overreact. With each game, there's a shift in the perception. The 8th seed wins a game? "Oh, they're going to make a series out of it!" The 5 seed wins at home? "They could sneak up on the 1 Seed next round!" All of this before the series has even ended. So starting today, we bring you a series of complete and total overreactions. Enjoy.

You know, when you get down to it, we should have saw this coming from Pau Gasol. I mean, really. Seven feet tall, soft touch? Who can stop him? It's clear that Pau Gasol will be the MVP of this series. Forget Kobe Bryant. He's likely to have 1, 2, 4 more bad shooting nights. That can be his game sometimes. But Gasol! Have you ever seen a big man play like that? Ever?! It just can't be said enough, Pau Gasol is clearly the best player in the NBA right now.

For Denver, well, then! It looks like Kenyon Martin can't guard anyone! And JR Smith? That guy's a joke. He may not break 10 points again for the rest of the year. And Marcus Camby? That guy is clearly overrated. I mean, did you see how many easy dunks and layups Gasol and Odom got? Sure, he was usually guarding the other guy during them, but why can't he be in two places at once? Pau Gasol can!

Back to the Lakers, it's pretty clear that Kobe-Gasol is way better than Kobe-Shaq. I mean, come on! Gasol! This one should be over in 2 more games! Just forfeit now, Denver!
