The San Antonio Spurs have hired Kelvin Sampson on as an "advisor."
Why is this interesting?
Because the head coach of their D-League team, which they own, is former Missouri coach Quin Snyder.
Now, I have nothing but good things to say about Snyder's job in the D-League. I'm working on a piece about it right now.
But seriously.
Two former NCAA head coaches with scandals in their past in the same system?
A friend of mine remarked, "The only way this could get any better is if they hired Larry Eustachy."
