Finite

And the first ever Kobe Bryant Day is through.

Wow. Over 70 posts.

That was a lot of Kobe Love.

I mean, that really got out of hand, fast!

I want to thank everyone for their contributions. I thought this thing might have some legs, but I never thought it would take off like this. Glad everyone had fun.

The thing to remember about Kobe is that no matter how you feel about him, it's clear that he possesses a gift on the court unlike any other player ever. He truly is a gift to the game. And for today, we stood in awe of him.

We now return you to your regularly scheduled Kobe Hating.

Congratulations on successfully surviving Kobe Blog Day.

I'd say more, but I need to go sterilize my fingers after forcing them to type nice things about Kobe.

Let the hate resume!

Thank you for the brilliant idea that was Kobe Bryant Blog Day. I, too, had no idea it would be what it turned out to be -- either in volume, or in creativity.

There were a lot of different angles to this thing... a lot of really creative pieces. I've hardly even scratched the surface (between my full time job, my wife, and nodding off because I lost too much sleep over my contribution, which was a bitch to write, I haven't had much time to read... yet), but what I've seen so far has been just great.

I would love this even if I was a Kobe hater. I would be intrigued by it even if it wasn't all positive (though it was perhaps that rule, that it must be positive and not facetious, that made it so good). It just resulted in such a broad range of contributions, and I love it.

Let me put it this way: As a Kobe fan, when I heard about this, I thought, "Awesome!" But as a writer and a reader who appreciates quality work, once I saw some of what resulted, I was blown away.

Thank you for the brilliant, creative idea!
