Your Weekend Trade Proposal of Zen

Ben Q. Rock from Third Quarter Collapse mentioned that we should start keeping track of all the bad trade proposals we run across. He mentioned this in a therapeutic sort of way so that he will have less of an urge to do a Sylvia Plath Casserole Bake when he reads one. If you see a trade proposal that makes absolutely, positively no sense, send it to hardwoodparoxysm(at)gmail.com. Enjoy the idiocy.

From the ProSports Daily Golden State Warriors Forum:

Golden State gets: Eddy Curry, Jamal Crawford, and future 1st round draft pick (unprotected)

New York Gets: Monta Ellis, Brandan Wright, Mickael Pietrus, Al Harrington

ESPN Trade Machine: Success!
RealGM Trade Checker: Success! (Kind of, you have to wait till summer for Pietrus' Early Bird Exception to expire)
OR

Golden State Gets: Eddy Curry, Jamal Crawford

New York Gets: Monta Ellis, Brandan Wright, Matt Barnes, Al Harrington, future first round draft pick (protected)

ESPN Trade Machine: Success!
RealGM Trade Checker: Success!

Of course, this would mean trading the best non-scorer backcourt player the Dubs have, along with Barnes who they specifically targeted for resigning, and the best young prospect they have in Wright. Oh, yeah, and without Harrington, they somehow get worse on interior defense, even with the addition of Curry. Plus, you know, Jamal Crawford's involved, good season he's having or not.

But, still, it works!
