And still more here.
And a little more rational here.
Dear Boston fans,
We're sincerely happy that you've turned around your team. We even agree that having the Celtics be good is good for the league. And we don't begrudge you the fact that all the other Boston teams are winning championships (okay, that's a lie, we do, but not as Celtics fans, only as God-fearing people). But seriously. Enough is enough. If it was Paul Pierce/Ray Allen/Rajon Rondo that hit that three pointer yesterday fading away with a Magic player in his face, there'd be nothing but "What a magical player!" and "What a great shot by a great Celtics!" and "I wish Ray Allen would defecate on me!". But because it was the other guy, it was "lucky"? Come, now. You're better than that. It was a great shot by a guy that's having a great year clutch shooting for a team that you will inevitably pound into oblivion in the playoffs. There is nothing to be ashamed of. You were without your best player (though you still lost to this team with him earlier in the season...), the Magic played well, and Hedo hit a great shot to win. Congratulate them, say "See you in the playoffs" and be done. There's no need for this petty "preposterous" or "lucky" shot. Furthermore, there's no room for it. This is the NBA. Great players hit great shots. And this season, at least, Hedo Turkoglu is a great player. Give credit where credit is due and don't be so petty. Have some chowdah fer Chrissakes.
